The collectors can be roof or ground mounted. Using the pool pump the pool water is circulated through hundreds of specifically designed channels in the solar collectors. A control system automatically sensors when there is sufficient heat in the collectors to raise the temperate of the pool and operates a valve to put the solar system in circuit. During the night or if there is not sufficient sun the system is automatically disengaged. It is possible that in mid summer the pool temperature could get too hot. The system contains a feature that permits the water to be circulated during the night to lower the pool temperature.
